"After growing from a baby into a toddler, I knew I had to review TLC in new eyes and see if it was the place for my daughter. Just because it was a good place for her as a baby doesn't mean it was the place I wanted her to be as she grew through her toddler years...

From the time she was 2-2 1/2 years old, she was coming home teaching me Spanish words and doing rolls and such she learned in Kick n' Flips, an add-on class offered by TLC. She is well versed with her numbers and even though she has yet to graduate to a pre-school class- she will this year- at TLC, they began teaching her those subjects early. She is learning how to swim as well thanks to TLC's pool open during the warm months.

She rode a pony, petted farm animals, exercised in baby yoga classes (included in the tuition), created all sorts of textured and spatial art. She was exposed to different types of music, and danced her little heart out. I know she danced as well as other activities because they continue to post pictures of her and the other children attending TLC on Facebook. I love being able to go on to Facebook during the day and be surprised with a picture of her doing something or just smiling at the camera from that same day.

I am searching here in Oregon for a place that will be as good for her as a child growing into her school-age years as TLC was. I haven't found a place that had such a small child-to-teacher ratio. And it was very helpful to be able to drop her off as early as 6:30 in the morning because as a nurse I often have to be at work at odd hours of the day. Then there is the small factor that wouldn't seem so important, the way TLC adds and rotates toys and structures with which the children play.

The staff continues to be competent, patient, and intelligent. I have visited several places here and I have yet to find a home-away-from-home like Lena had since she was 6 months old." Jenn
